The other tracking service provided through the Special Education Service Logs application is progress monitoring. To submit a progress monitoring log, navigate to the “Logs” “Progress Monitoring” option in the menu. In contrast to a service tracking log, a progress monitoring log can only be submitted for 1 student and 1 IEP goal at a time. Due to this, the first page of a progress monitoring log will ask you to select the student and IEP goal in which you would like to track progress for. When selected, choose the “Next” button on the bottom of the screen.
On page 2 of the progress monitoring log, you will see a reminder on the top for what student and goal you are current monitoring progress for. By selecting the info button on the top you can see the details of the goal itself.
For the assessment field, type in whatever assessment was used to monitor progress for that specific goal. For goal progress, choose from the options provided how that student is progress towards their goal. For the score field, type in what score that student received on that specific assessment. The notes section is optional but provides an additional field to keep track of any specific notes that may be pertinent to that progress monitoring session. Lastly, if desired you can add an image of the progress monitoring session as evidence.
Once complete, hit the “Submit” button on the bottom of the screen. Similarly, to service tracking logs, this will take you to a review page in which you are given the options to “View Analytics”, “Create a new progress log”, “Go to the Home Page”, or “Review the Completed Form”. Selecting “Review Completed Form” takes you to a page where you can edit the progress monitoring log that was just submitted.
