The Athlos Special Education Service Logs application can sync up with your instance of PowerSchool by utilizing an SFTP connection. Before you are ready to set up this connection, a member of the Athlos partner success team will have reached out with your customized secure credentials. These credentials will be received in an encrypted email. In order to set this up in PowerSchool, login to your administrator account and navigate to:
On this page select the blue “Create Connection” button on the top right-hand side of the page. This will bring up a new box for you to enter in the Athlos Special Education SFTP information from the secure email.
Fill out this connection information with the information from the email. When complete your form should look like the picture above. Hit submit when complete and the SFTP connection will be established.
After the connection has been established, you then have to create a report that gets sent to the new Athlos connection. To do this, navigate to the “Data Export Manager” tool in PowerSchool.
Create your export to include all of the desired special education students at your school/district with the following information:
- Student First Name
- Student Last Name
- Student Number
- Student State ID
- Student Grade Level
- School Name
Once complete, hit “Save Template” on the bottom of the screen.
When the template has been saved you can now schedule the export to run as frequently as you would like. Athlos recommends running it at around midnight every night. To schedule this export and send it to the Athlos servers, navigate to the “My Templates” section and select the calendar icon next to the desired report.
Fill out the schedule per the image above and make sure the output is sent to the new Athlos Special Education Service Logs SFTP connection that was established.
